fuckyeahtattoos: This is my first tattoo, a lotus flower. The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again. Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. I have had a really difficult childhood. I have been teased all my life for my looks/weight etc. It made me have very bed social anxiety and I am over coming it and growing into a better person everyday. No matter what I have gone through I still love myself and do not let anyone’s words effect my inner beauty. I love my tattoo so much and it is exactly what I wanted. My tattoo was done by Steffan at black shamrock tattoo parlor in Bakersfield, CA.
